WWE broadcast arrangements
Raw is on Netflix in the US, SmackDown is on USA Network, NXT is on The CW, and WWE premium live events are on ESPN Unlimited. Raw, SmackDown and NXT follow different US broadcast arrangements. A subscription used for Monday Night Raw does not automatically include every WWE premium live event.
| Program or event | US viewing starting point | Important access distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Monday Night Raw | Netflix | Netflix carries Raw in the United States; check the live-event feature of your plan. |
| Friday Night SmackDown | USA Network | SmackDown uses USA Network in the US, not the US Netflix Raw arrangement. |
| NXT and NXT premium events | The CW | NXT weekly episodes and NXT premium events have different arrangements from main-roster events. |
| Main-roster premium live events | ESPN Unlimited | WrestleMania and other main-roster premium events require eligible ESPN Unlimited access in the US. |
| Classic WWE and WWF-era library | Netflix (US library) | WWE moved its older premium-event archive to Netflix in the United States during 2026; archive availability varies. |
Why Raw and SmackDown are not on the same service
A weekly WWE viewer can follow Raw on Monday and SmackDown on Friday without realizing those shows have separate US media contracts. Raw is distributed through Netflix. SmackDown remains a USA Network program, so a Netflix subscription by itself does not provide the regular Friday show in the United States. NXT adds a third destination through The CW. The easiest mistake is buying access based on the WWE name rather than the title of the show you actually watch.
Main-roster events and NXT special cards
WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and other main-roster premium live events in the US are covered by the ESPN Unlimited agreement. NXT premium events, however, have their own CW arrangement. That distinction makes a monthly budget more complicated than a single streaming price. A viewer who only follows one of those series may be able to avoid holding every relevant subscription all year.
What WWE fans outside the US should check
WWE distributes much of its programming through Netflix in many international territories, but local contracts and exceptions remain. Germany and Austria have specifically identified television arrangements for Raw, SmackDown and NXT, so a US subscription chart is not a reliable international buying guide. Start with WWE’s country selector, then confirm the show and language available where the account will actually be used.
WWF footage and classic events
WWF is the historical name used by WWE before the 2002 rebrand. Searches for WWF often concern classic matches, former wrestlers and archival premium events rather than a separate active promotion. WWE announced that much of its US premium-event library moved to Netflix in January 2026. A classic match being part of that archive does not imply that every edition of every older television show is available.
Planning costs across a full season
The true cost depends on whether you watch Raw, SmackDown, NXT, major events or just the archive. A fan interested in WrestleMania alone should confirm that particular event and its account requirements rather than treating an existing television package as a guarantee. The subscription calculator can compare different numbers of billed months, but it cannot determine your channel entitlement. That must be confirmed by the rights holder.
Understanding the event listing
Someone watching one WWE premium event can compare the planned month against other services using the sports subscription cost calculator. WWE’s weekly and premium-event arrangements should be entered as separate products where they require different subscriptions.
A WWE premium live event should not be treated as another episode of Raw. Event access in the United States has a different service arrangement, and archived matches can have separate availability.
Different WWE shows require different viewing decisions
A WWE fan trying to watch Raw every Monday has a different requirement from someone interested only in SummerSlam or WrestleMania. In the United States, WWE currently lists Raw on Netflix, SmackDown on USA Network, NXT on The CW and main-roster premium live events on the ESPN app through the relevant plan. Treat those as separate program categories when evaluating a subscription. A single WWE logo on a platform should not be interpreted as universal access to every weekly show, historic episode and premium event.
NXT premium events have their own distribution, which differs from the main-roster events. WWE also lists Saturday Night's Main Event separately. If you follow a wrestler across brands, the next appearance may require a different channel from the one you used last week. WWE's official event calendar specifies show dates and distribution, while international Netflix arrangements include exceptions by territory. An American viewing table should not be copied unchanged for fans in Germany, the United Kingdom or elsewhere.
The time on a WWE schedule is usually the advertised show start, not necessarily the moment of a particular match. Main-event appearances can happen much later in the program, and a two-night premium event involves separate sessions. For viewers outside the US, convert each advertised start date carefully, because a Saturday night in North America may be Sunday morning in Asia or Oceania. Classic WWF episodes belong to the historical archive, which is a distinct product from current live programming.

Why WWE weekly programs, premium live events and archives use different U.S. services
A WWE subscription decision starts with the program someone actually watches. In the United States, Monday Night Raw is on Netflix, Friday Night SmackDown is on USA Network, and Tuesday's NXT is on The CW. Those weekly schedules are not a bundle: a household watching Raw on Netflix still needs a separate way to receive SmackDown. WWE lists NXT premium events with The CW, while main-roster premium live events such as WrestleMania require ESPN Unlimited. Choosing the show before comparing packages avoids paying for access to programming the household will not use.
The WWE archive introduces another entitlement that can be confused with live rights. Beginning in January 2026, Netflix became the U.S. home of WWE’s historical premium-event library from before September 2025, alongside past Raw episodes and additional programming. An archived WrestleMania replay may therefore be available within Netflix even though a current WrestleMania is live on ESPN. Saturday Night’s Main Event also has its own Peacock distribution. Treating archived matches, weekly episodes, television specials and new premium live events as interchangeable would lead to the wrong subscription decision.
Outside the United States the broadcaster map changes substantially, with Netflix carrying a wider selection of live WWE shows in many markets. A U.S. Netflix account does not make SmackDown or an ESPN premium live event universally available, and a traveling viewer should not assume a home subscription has identical event rights abroad. For the live show that matters, check WWE’s dated official schedule together with the broadcaster and account eligibility for the country where it will be watched.
Check the WWE show and the country of access
Someone who follows only Monday Night Raw can start with Netflix; someone mainly interested in WrestleMania needs to check the live ESPN Unlimited entitlement instead. A replay in a historical library is not evidence that the same subscription carries an upcoming premium event. WWE's official watch listing identifies the program and distributor; the viewer's account page establishes whether access is included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix show WrestleMania and WWE Premium Live Events live in the United States?
Netflix carries Monday Night Raw and a U.S. library of older WWE Premium Live Events, including events held before September 2025. That is different from current main-roster premium live programming: WWE’s U.S. viewing instructions direct fans to the ESPN App with ESPN Unlimited for events such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. Watching an archived WrestleMania on Netflix does not provide a live entitlement to the next one. Fans outside the United States may have different Netflix rights, which should not be applied to U.S. plans.
Where are SmackDown, NXT and NXT special events shown in the United States?
SmackDown airs on USA Network on Fridays, while WWE’s regular NXT program airs on The CW on Tuesdays. WWE also currently places NXT Premium Live Events, including Stand & Deliver and Deadline, on The CW rather than within the main-roster ESPN PLE package. These are distinct broadcast products with different account requirements. Viewers using an antenna may be able to receive a local CW affiliate, but a USA Network cable feed usually requires an eligible provider or live-TV subscription. Always verify the week’s actual airing time.
Can one WWE streaming package replace Netflix, ESPN, USA Network and The CW?
WWE’s published United States distribution does not provide one universal package for all four of those rights groups. Netflix covers Raw and historical library programming, USA Network covers SmackDown, The CW carries NXT and its special events, and ESPN Unlimited covers main-roster Premium Live Events. Peacock also shows Saturday Night’s Main Event. If you mainly follow one program, buy access for that program rather than the promotion in general; a fan who watches both Raw and the premium events should compare the two separate entitlements and monthly costs.
